  Confused!! Help!!

  ok so here goes...ive fallen for a guy, who seems perfect for me, everything ive ever wanted in a man, kind, sensitive, caring and reliable.

  only problem is, he is not a jw and i sort of am, sort of meaning, i was brought up in the truth i have gone through rebelious stages and just passed them off as wanting to experience, i nearly married a jw but the night before the wedding he called it off and said he wasnt ready (we had sleot with each other beforehand, so he prob didnt see the point in going ahead anymore!

  got what he had wanted!

  what do i do regards the future?

  We can't tell you what to do. Well, we can, but that would just be preaching. We can only tell you what we have done:

  • gone to college and learned a lot of cool stuff
  • read a lot of cool stuff
  • watched a lot of cool stuff
  • traveled to cool places
  • raised kids who are imperfect and un-brainwashed
  • learned how to use computers (at least a little)
  • built careers based on reality, not false hopes
  • made new friends and new families in the real world, not in a cult
  • worked a lot and played some
  • helped other people who didn't look, talk, think or act just like we do
  • loved, lived, aged, won, and lost various battles
  • accepted life on life's terms
  • and quite a few of us have left our birth families and "the Society" in the dust, and it's really okay. It took a lot of time for some of us to realize this, but it's okay.

  My sister was in your situation before she was baptized, but after marrying out of the truth, she was baptized, so she became "unevenly yoked" by default. She and her husband separated for a while after having two children.

  Three brainwashed children later . . . her husband eventually capitulated and became a witness, likely out of the same kind of fear, obligation, and guilt (FOG), by which you are now operating.

  Now they each remain married to a control freak and have three lovely, brainwashed, and damaged children, just like our own parents did.

  Feel free to do as you please, but try to eliminate the FOG. That could require some professional assistance, something my sister and the rest of the cult-controlled people tend to avoid and discourage.

  FOG is good for maintaining control and keeping people's money, time, and lifespans devoted to the Watchtower Prison, instead of on living. Was that the point of Nvr's statement, I wonder?

  Ok my love I suggested the crockpot cuz turkey breast can get very dry and the crockpot helps keep that moisture if done correctly. Since you can't fit that breast in the pot you might want to slice it up and put part of the breast in the pot and make cutlets with the other part. I love doing a mini turkey feast with the stuffing (stovetop) gravy, potatoes, spinach, etc - something quicker that holiday fare.

  The cutlets are easy. You can pan fry, stir fry, even bake.

  Now, that's clever, Mrs. Jones. I might have to go buy a crock pot (not poet, oops) again just to try that out!

  Freeze one.

  Separate the fat layer from the meat, place garlic cloves and orange halves between the two layers, cover with foil, and bake. Just before removing from the oven, baste with a white wine and butter sauce until fat is golden brown.

  Serve with mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, sour dough rolls, and any vegetable except brusssels sprouts

  Man, now I'm hungry!

  Bechamel is a terrific idea. Throw in some dried apricots and figs, as well. I just had some chicken breasts roasted with figs, apricots, and a few sliced, green olives, at a birthday party the other night. It was lovely and delish! I would never have thought to do such a thing, but it was pretty and yummy.

  Sometimes it helps to just try to remember what's beautiful and to seek it out. It's not always easy to come out of that funk, but it's doable. Physical activity helps. Yesterday, I worked in the yard, trying to pull the crab grass out of what used to be a lovely brick sidewalk and patio in our back yard.

  Today, everything outside (outside of our yard) looked gorgeous and brilliantly sunny. Driving to a friend's to take care of their cats, I was thinking how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful town.

  But Saturday, I was looking at all the dirt and empty spaces in our yard that need filling - (we need a freaking rain forest to spruce up this mess) - and felt so overwhelmed by the ugly emptiness for a spell.

  Doing something really helps, if you don't throw your back out of whack.
